Opening an Experimac franchise is an incredible franchising opportunity, and even a language barrier…
Kurt and Colleen Peterson recently opened Experimac at 935 U.S. 50 West, near the North Side Lowe’s.
The six-employee store specializes in repairing, buying, selling and trading pre-owned Apple products, including smartphones, iPads and computers.
The store also repairs Samsung products and operates a kiosk in the mall to repair smartphone screens.
It is the state’s second Experimac store.
“We wanted to invest in a Pueblo business which would allow our family to stay in Pueblo. We have raised our four children here, and we believe in the area,” the couple said in a statement, Kurt Peterson, a longtime aerospace engineer and information technology manager, said he was excited by the opportunity to open his own business.
In opting for an Apple products repair and resale store, “we saw a need that could be met at a better price,” the couple said. The store offers products that cost significantly less than new retail products.
The store also offers a 90-day repair or replacement warranty on its products.
Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The store’s telephone number is 225-8656.
Pete’s Landing Bar & Grill
The new operator of the restaurant at Pueblo Memorial Airport plans a fresh approach.
Peter Beizaee, a longtime Pueblo businessman who currently operates Par’s Natural Foods, said his passion for cooking and new recipes led him to recently open Pete’s Landing Bar & Grill at the airport.
Par’s makes natural, vegan and gluten-free salsas, sauces and preserves, among other products.
At the airport restaurant, “We make all of our batters, marinades and seasoning from scratch,” he said. The restaurant also uses fresh meats and poultry, “nothing out of a bag, can or frozen,” he said.
The menu includes breakfast burritos, omelets, hamburgers and other sandwiches and chicken fried steak.
Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. The telephone number is 948-9000.
A longtime Pueblo resident, Beizaee for decades operated Colorado Security InsuranceService and Colorado Security Auto Sales at the corner of Northern and Lake avenues.
Beizaee said he was eager to respond to the city’s invitation for a new airport restaurant operator, in part to also help promote the airport and the nearby Weisbrod Aircraft Museum.
He encourages diners “to come to us and try our delicious foods while enjoying the beautiful view of the Pueblo airport (with) planes landing and taking off.”
Timothy Zercher recently launched EasySocial, a social media management company that assists nonprofits, small businesses and others with their social media accounts.
The company is based online at easysocial.solutions.
Zercher said a job assisting Integrity Dental with its social media efforts led him to open the business following his graduation in May with an MBA from Colorado State University-Pueblo.
“I had six clients by the end of the first month (June) and I currently work with 14 while still growing quickly,” he said. He is assisted by four individual contract consultants.
